Community Cars will help anyone in the Bournemouth area who can’t use public transport but still need to get out and about. It’s a kind, caring and compassionate service which gives a safe and helping hand. The service is run with a team of volunteer drivers who use their own cars and will help with everyday needs.
Community Cars is run by sedcat – your community transport. Mileage is charged at 55p per mile (minimum charge £4) and is calculated from the driver’s home. The service is available to anyone living in postcode areas BH1 – BH11 who is unable to use public transport but still has to leave their home for appointments, visits to local clubs and even the Hairdressers.
Jean, a member of Community Cars uses the service to get to the Hairdressers and her local GP.
